Air Conditioning System

Most vehicles on the road today either contain 134A or 1234YF freon in this sealed system.

You should not have issues with your car cooling the air unless a part has failed causing a leak. The main components that cool the air include a/c compressor, evaporator core, condenser, orifice tube/expansion valve and receiver drier. Once the air is cooled, the blower motor, actuators and vents in your dash deliver the cool air into the cabin of the vehicle. The only maintenance on this system is the cabin air filter.
